The Mils class is the most advanced the Ch'la have it is the most recent in a long line of workhorses of the Ch'la military. It was the most abundant ship used in the attack on the the human territory. It was designed to function with a small crew.
The ships were first faced by outer rim human warships. It was described by a survivor as, "if death itself was spewing out of the worm holes in front of us." In numbers the single or small groups of ships were destroyed. When faced alone the Mils class ships were fairly easy to destroy but in numbers the ships present a very dangerous and very real threat.
The design of a star gives them the best forward fire possible while still presenting a small target.
