The H.A.V. Ticktock was built around a X-71 combat frame in the Simis shipyards. The X-71 combat frame was meant to make it easier to make ships of any class with the same general frame. The Ticktock was built as a heavy interceptor. She was designed to hunt enemy fighters and light ships.
She was produced at the end of the Human Ch'La war and never saw combat in the war. Although she was used to hunt down smugglers trying to bring drugs into HA territory. During the Cartang incident she was called into duty to bring down asteroids that threatened the Ch'La/Human colonies in the Crick solar system. She was heavily damaged in the incident and was decommissioned and put into inactive service instead of being replaced.
